Child, Teen and Adult Therapy in Sussex or Online
If you are considering therapy, it is natural to want to know how sessions work and what to expect from a first appointment. This page outlines my fees and what happens when we begin working together.
1
Free 15 minute phone or zoom call
We can start with a free 15 minute phone or zoom call to discuss what you are hoping to achieve with therapy and how I can help you with this.
2
Initial Consultation
The first session is the trial session, an opportunity for us to meet and begin to think about what is bringing you (or your child) to therapy.
For adults, we will talk about the difficulties you are experiencing and what you hope therapy might help with.
For children and teenagers, the first session may involve meeting with parents or caregivers initially, so we can understand the young person’s situation and decide together what support would be most helpful.
The initial consultation also gives you the chance to ask questions and consider whether the approach feels like a good fit.
3
Ongoing therapy
If we decide to continue, sessions usually take place once a week at the same time each week - but I can be more flexible with this if necessary.
Regular sessions help create a consistent and reliable therapeutic space where thoughts and feelings can be explored safely.
Therapy may be short-term and focused, or longer-term, depending on the needs of the individual.
4
Fees
Individual therapy session (50 minutes): £75 per session
Sessions are available in person and online.
Payment is usually made by bank transfer prior to the session.
Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss availability or ask any questions before booking an initial session.
